Thanks for the tip and ideas. When I take pictures, I always try to get 2 or 3 of the same thing... with camera on auto, then flash off, then flash on (even in bright light).
Another thing it has taken a long time to learn is to check the dial on top of our camera that changes settings. Where it is on the camera makes it very easy to be turned/changed when taking the camera in and out of its case or a pocket.
My wife is also annoyed with me for constantly asking her to NOT turn the camera sideways for "tall" shots unless there is no other way to get the picture (back up, adjust zoom, etc). Just makes for one more step (have to turn picture) when saving and reviewing pictures later.
