padredw and sayoung, sorry you guys are from Texas, have you ever tried going to Mountain View? Lots of private campgrounds, White River trout fishing, hiking trails, and other things in the area to do. Not sure if Blanchard Springs Caverns are open yet, and I don't think the Ozark Folk Center is open either but you might check out the area. We used to stay at Sylamore Creek Campground and it is right on the creek, nice and quiet.
