- Well, I did qualify it in the OP as being the writers choice.
Everyone has their own choice. And thankfully, we are all different in what we deem a "best campground"
Sometimes it's nice to have an interesting read from someone elses viewpoint. - dodge_guyExplorer IIThe best RV resort We've been to is Santa Rosa RV Resort in Navarre FL. And the other best we’ve been to is in Granby CO. Another best is River Ridge RV Resort in Starwood MI. And yet another best is Lighthouse Point at Cedar Point OH.
See how easy it is to pick the best! - rocmocExplorerHave been to many Parks in nearly every state. Thank goodness the list does not match my list.
rocmoc n AZ - IDmanExplorerI camped at Trappers Lake in Colorado for the great fishing. Unfortunately, the mosquitos were SO BAD that we left after just 30 minutes! Miserable afterwards.
- LwiddisExplorer IIHow could a forest campground be the best if you prefer the beach?
- RetiredRealtorRExplorerStrictly geared to tent campers, which I suspect would leave out the vast majority of forum members.
The byline states: "We found the best places to pitch your tent in all 50 states, so you don’t have to"
Written by "the Editors" --- what, they won't even give their names??
Certainly VERY subjective, but instead of calling the locations 'favorites' they choose to call them 'best' -- hmmmmm.
You won't catch me reading anything else put out by their organization. Too many other places to extract information. - Pangaea_RonExplorerWe've camped at Lone Fir Campground on the North Cross State Highway in WA Sate. It's a great and quiet spot. . . once we were the only campers there. We came early in the year when Highway 20 had just opened for the season.
- valhalla360NavigatorI might buy it's the writers favorite but "best" is far to subjective.
Even as an individual, there is no "best". What I'm after can vary depending on what is happening.
- If it's 110F, I want electricity to run the air/con and many of these don't have electricity.
- If I want a few days away from people, many of these are too busy. - ReneeGExplorerThe one listed for Idaho is a nice, RV/Tent campground, but it is always packed. As others have said, there are other campgrounds much nicer or just as nice, with less people.
- jdc1Explorer IIWith the Sierra Mountains on the east and Pacific Ocean on the west....who's to decide which California campground is tops?
