Asheville NC area

Hi. We need to be in Asheville mid October. Any suggestions for nice campgrounds for a class A? We've called a couple but they are sold out....
  • Lets see Asheville mid-October height of fall colors, no reservations you may be out of luck. Recommend look at rvparkreviews for Asheville, write down every phone number and start calling, not next week but today.
  • We just stayed at the Asheville West KOA in Candler about 12 miles west of exit 50 (its at exit 38) My TT is 37 ft. and I had room to park the truck in front of the rig. 2 motor coaches were on either side of me so you will fit and they are all pull through sites on the upper level. $42.00 was about the rate. Don't be wasting any time, get a res. asap
  • Taps RV - not on a mountain - close to downtown - not fancy but met our needs just fine! ST
  • Our preference in the Asheville area is the Lake Powatan Recreation Area campground in the Pisgah National forest. It's only about a 10 minute drive to Asheville, and sites on the "Lakeside Loop" have full hookups, but no lake view.
