If you like a full service park you could try the Asheville West KOA. It is small, just a mom and pop operation and was very quiet in July, I am betting it is dead in the fall. It is located literally on the side of a mountain, the view is amazing. It is an easy drive into Asheville, the Blue Ridge Pkwy is just a few miles away and it is not far from Smokey Mtn NP.

I'd recommend either Campfire Lodgings or Mama Gerties.

Head on out if you miss the Party they say the After Party is just as good.

Lot's of places if not in, then around, take a chance, Go for it!

Just a bit to the west, near Waynesville, NC, there is Creekside RV Park and right next to it, Pride RV Park. You might want to consider one of these if they have availability.

Try Moonshine Creek in Balsam, NC. We stay there every year during October and really like it.
