- netjamExplorerI always pick it up at UPS terminal. Quite often if you pick it up at the UPS store they charge a fee. If you get it delivered to your park site UPS usually drops in on your step and its subject to weather and theft. I always send it "hold for pickup" at UPS terminal. Sometimes its a drive but usually I combine it with other errands.
- retispcsiExplorerWe have packages UPS Fed Ex USPS delivered to state parks in different states and never had an issue. We do check with the park office and ask if it would be ok. Never had a negative answer. Some parks the campground host deliver the package to our site.
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIWhy not call the state park to get a definite answer?
- TexasShadowExplorer IIWe got a pkg delivered to Chadron State Park in NE. It was dropped at the office and DH picked it up there.
On another occasion, we had a pkg mailed to a local P.O. near the campground to General Delivery and picked it up there. - Golden_HVACExplorerI would not chance it, and see if it could be delivered to the local UPS Store, or distribution center. Perhaps if you get to know a business owner, they might accept the items for you, as long as you are not ordering things from NAPA online and delivering them to your friendly auto parts store, they might not like you ordering from their competition!
I don't know how far your place is from a large town. If more than a 30 mile drive to a UPS store, it might not be worth it. .
Good luck,
Fred. - Johno02ExplorerGenerally, if there is an office or ranger station that is open during normal office hours, most delivery services will deliver there. We always go by and ask if the ofrfice will accept packages for a camper or not. At one park, the delivery person would bring packages to our campsite. Best way is to ask at the park, as procedures vary from place to place.
- darsbenExplorer IIHave it held at the nearest UPS facility. Go get them yourself.
If the park has a street address the UPS should be able to deliver to it. If you put your site number on the order AND YOUR SITE is marked with the number you should be okay. But why take the chance
