Bad experience Lancaster KOA

Did you speak with the owner or the desk person? Most KOAs we've been to will escort you to your via with a yellow golf cart. Seems like moving someone who has trouble walking would be a no brainer.

On edit, I checked this CG on RV Park Reviews and there were several reviewers that mentioned that the owners were rude and didn't care, and KOA corporate said this CG is doing the bare minimum to be a KOA franchise. We use RV Park Reviews almost exclusively to pick places to stay. These reviews would have taken us elsewhere.

There is a good chance that the campground is violating the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA). If it were me: I'd write a formal complaint with details to the KOA Corporation, the campground, and the California State Attorney General. You might also get other contact information on ADA.gov.
I certainly would not let a situation like this be forgotten.

Since they are from New York I assume they are referring to the Lancaster, PA KOA.

You definitely have a good case to file a violation with the State of Pa on the ADA laws..they are obligated to afford you some leeway and apparantly they didn't..but she must be documented...Chuck

There is no case. The ADA does not require any business to change their normal fees or policies regarding guests. It also doesn't require a business to drive a disabled person around in a golf cart. Was the park being accommodating? heck no. Was what they did illegal or something they should be sued over? No way.

I'd write a letter to KOA with a copy to the campground owner. Name or time/date of who was on duty. As said, you can always post it to rvparkreviews or yelp.

i got a bad experience with KOA in Central City Co I never stay at KOA .They are one of the most expensive campgrounds.I recomand people to don't go to them.

If you post a review, make your bad experience a part of the review and not the focus of the review. IMO more people will listen.
