In several years of taking care of my elderly disabled mother, I never had one business attempt to shoo us out early or make any effort to discourage our visits. In fact over and over, people went out of their way to be helpful without me asking for anything. Kind people going out of their way to make the visit pleasant.
I've also on half dozen occasions or more, requested a drive through of a campground merely to check it out. I have never been charged or turned down, never given even a cross eye or suspicious look regarding it. The interactions were friendly and positive.
