Bar Harbor

FHU campground suggestions for mid July???

(KOA prices are outrageous. I already looked.)
  • Hadleys Point was a nice place to stay, we would definitely go back there.
  • Bar Harbor in July is not going to be inexpensive. Better get booked soon too! They need to make their money in a very short season and it is one of the most beautiful destination areas of New England.
  • We stayed at The Narrows Too. Sites start at $67 per night. Waterfront or water view more expensive. Shuttle stops at the park.
  • Two years ago we stayed at Narrows 2. I believe that it is listed as Trenton, ME. The owners are nice and it has a great view of the harbor. When we were there they accepted Passport America. The lobster restaurants across the street and up the road are great.:) Also enjoy ice cream at Blueberry Hill.
  • We were out there in late August '09 and stayed at Hadley's Point Campground. It has a variety of sites, from wooded to open. It was fairly quiet, the pool area was decent, reasonably priced, and the sites were fairly sized depending upon where you are in the park. We were in a wooded site that was a bit tight. We spent most of our time out and about sightseeing.
