Bend/Sisters Garden RV Resort Oregon

We just returned from a trip that included a night stay at this park. Overall this was a very nice park, but it has what I perceive to be some issues.

The good parts,
Beautiful park, greener and better kept than most golf courses.
I have never parked on a more level slab in all my years of RV'ing.
Nice little privet lake (catch and release only).
Playground for the kids, even a little mini golf course.
Very friendly and helpful staff

The bad parts
Expensive, before the Good Sam discount the weekend rate is $53 a night. For this neck of the woods that is WAY up there!
They say pet friendly, they lie. Dogs are not allowed on the grass...period! Not just please pick up after your pet but a threat of a $50 charge if you don't. Their are "pet areas" but they are not continently located.
Very poor Cable service, the fellow that guided us in to our site told me "we have 6 cable channels, but 2 of them don't work".
Worst WiFi I have ever seen, not a chance of streaming video which would have made up for the poor cable.

Like I said overall nice, but for the price I would have expected better.
  • I am thinking of trying an RV Park near Camp Sherman. Have you been there?
  • We stayed at Bend Sisters when it was a KOA and had the same negative comments. I wasn't going to stop there again but did last year. We think it is now the most manicured campgound we have been to. It is just beautiful, but all yor negatives still apply. I'd still have to give it a 9 just for the looks!
  • Same for us, we were there years ago when our kids were little. We havnt been back till this trip. We had a fine time back then, we were traveling in a tent trailer so things like cable and WiFi did not apply to us.
  • We just left Crown Villa in Bend. Talk about expensive! Beautiful park. Great dog run. The pads were all pavers. They were built to be sold until city council said no. Even with the price we will stay here again on our "97" runs. Yes I will post a review on www.rvparkreviews.com .
