A few of my favorite places in NY. Letchworth and/or Watkins Glen SP for the hiking, falls, and scenery. Wine tours around Seneca Lake for that matter. Alexandria Bay should be beautiful that time of year. There are a few cave sites to explore around Herkimer. Old Forge and Lake George areas are a little touristy, but have some nice scenery, hiking, and history. I have yet to stay at a DEC camp that wasn't gorgeous, but they are all dry camping, no hookups. Of those,Cranberry Lake is our fav. A lot of other good suggestions in here, anything you like to do or are interested in?
