I have been to Bar Harbor many times over the years and stayed at the KOA Ocean front and Bar Harbor CG. I tried something different last year and enjoyed it. We stayedHERE and enjoyed it very much. It was far enough away from the crazy Bar Harbor traffic. We enjoyed spending time at Schoodic and points north up to Eastport etc. The CG is simple. The sites at the enterance are full hookup and you still get a nice view. You are steps away from great fresh lobster, fresh seafood and great ice cream at Traceys. You will be about 50 minutes from Bar Harbor if you take the shortcut to bypass Ellsworth. Enjoy your trip.
