  • Del Pueblo Rv and Tennis Resort south of Air Base on 3E. Owners are local and operate an upscale park and the residents are the best.
  • "Tacna is about 30 miles east of Yuma"...now, for uninformed, the down side to staying in Tacna....lets see, there is one gas station, 2 restaurants, and a post office in Tacna....and what, an 80 mile round trip to shop in Yuma ? Seems lots of folks like it tho', mid winter it looks full.
Top of the line in Yuma, would probably be The Palms.

  • If you boondocking, the Imperial Dam BLM area about 30 miles NE of Yuma is great. You get a place to dump, fresh water & dumpsters for your trash, and with 3500 acres, can be as near or far from your neighbors as you want. A great community with all kinds of activities. 2 weeks $40.00, or $180.00 for 6 months.
  • If you have an ATV and not looking for somewhere with a swimming pool may I suggest Copper Mountain RV Park in Tacna AZ. Tacna is about 30 miles east of Yuma, they have large spaces and access to many ATV trails including Barry Goldwater Range,( Permit Required). They do have some other planned activities such as bingo, pot lucks, horseshoes, desert golf course etc. Again this place is not fancy but is kept nice and clean and will not break the bank. This will be the fourth year that we have spent sometime there.
  • Stayed in Yuma a few times and never found a great park. The weather is great and the parks are cheap....that's the draw. Most seem to like the foothills area (Yuma east) and there is one south by the base (the name escapes me) that's kind of nice, but its noisy. The Palms is a little more upscale but it costs more as I recall.
