Best RV parks near Washington, D.C. and New York City?
The DW and I are planning a trip to Washington, DC and NYC for next summer. I'm looking for the best parks located nearby. We'll be arriving mid-July. Thanks!

For NYC, I recommend Battlerow in Nassau County on L.I. It is much less expensive than Liberty and a beautiful little park with a suburban feel. However, my recommendation assumes you don't mind a commute on the LIRR into Penn Station. Near Jones beach and some nice small towns with plenty of dining and shopping. Battlerow is a county park with W&E at the site and a dump station. It is just south of the LI Expressway (495) eliminating the problem of height restrictions that apply on many parkways throughout the LI Area.
