Big Great Lakes Trip (Campground Recs Please!)

Thinking of spending a month touring all of the Great Lakes next summer. I would love any and all campground recommendations near any of the lakes. We are up for state or private campgrounds. Just ...

One time we showed up at Woodland Park during the first weekend of August, not knowing that there was a big gathering (bluegrass festival or something, I forget) there that weekend. It was about 4 pm but we still obtained a campsite.

The wild blueberries were fabulous that year. We found a patch a few miles from town and picked buckets. One grab of the hand would strip a whole handful of berries off the bush. Never have seen it that way before or since.
