OK, we stayed at Majestic Oaks both ways, to and from Beaumont. Our assessment? The answer illustrates the difficulty of trying to assign a single point value to what really involves a multi-dimensional evaluation. The campground is basically a parking lot, with no sense of privateness between sites, which means for me it would rate only a "6" as a starting point. But it is nicely landscaped, the clientele are friendly and upscale (many snowbirds), the restrooms are clean, the pool is nice, and the staff is helpful. So, add something. On the other hand, the area of town is rough (like in, "Don't go outside the gate at night"), the sites are bare (not even a picnic table), the WiFi is slow during high volume periods, and the cable TV is without a doubt the worst I've ever seen. So, deduct something, almost as much as got added in the first place. Bottom line: I'd give this a "7" overall, recording it as a place I'd stay again for an overnight stop but not as a place to stay for any length of time. Hope that helps.
