Well, this is not a "true boondocking site". It is next to the highway ( 38.508364° -105.962292°), also next to a commercial campground. The area gets lots of use, likely more than the BLM wants to clean-up after.
I don't like to lose free sites, but as more people use an area and leave their trash, someone has to clean-up after them. I have been to more dispersed sites recently where ladies have been leaving TP on top of the ground. Unsightly, to say the least. They should at least cover it, but should really put it in a plastic bag and remove it. Beer cans/bottles, other trash, it all builds up.
We will continue to lose free areas if they continue to accumulate trash. Slobs are our worst enemy.
