4Runner, you know better than this. The OP/Troll is using your obvious love of our open lands to try and convince you (and all of us) that this is a public-policy issue about free access to federal lands.
"Free" as in "beer", that is, not "free" as in "speech". The OP is only concerned about his own back yard, and only concerned about having to pay an extra ten bucks--this is NOT about losing access. And for the sake of that he's got many of us duck-walking to the clap of his hands.
As for "boondocking", many of us don't consider this boondocking intthe first place--it is, in fact an organized BLM campground with fees. Only change is the fees are going up.
