The small fee increase would certainly be onerous if the OP were routinely overstaying the 14-day limit on BLM lands, as he previously indicated he was. Apparently he stays the whole summer there and expects us to get angry if he's asked to pay his fair share.
There's always people who think the open lands are their own private property. It's certainly not uncommon for these people to lash out at others (shove it). Me, I'm just wondering how long the OP can squat at Salida in his Allegro 34 without someone reporting him to the BLM.
