BLM access about to be lost

highplainsdrifter - I am glad to see that there were not any Colorado legislators on the list. We defeated a candidate in our district last election who was campaigning on that platform. In Colorado we have an interesting dichotomy- Many of our federal lands are near resort areas with high real estate values -so those behind the effort see the possibility of big dollars, but the locals in our resort areas tend to be staunch environmentalists who want land to stay federal.

I was in Moab, Utah for awhile last spring and the editorials in the local paper were vehement on both sides-- and I notice the top two names on the link you provided were Utah legislators.

Thanks again for providing that bigger picture look at the privatizing issue.
