wxtoad, GREAT site! On the two links you provided you mentioned the necessity of making reservations in March. Much like you we don't like to be tied down to an agenda, for one thing you never know what interesting things you might run across where you might want to spend another day or two. Or even, in a lot of cases, wander completely off the planned route. But our plan, as of now, is to tour Louisiana late Feb thru the 12 or 13 of March. So it would behoove us to make reservations, at least on the weekends? Or pretty much the whole trip?
Our plan is Lake Bruin SP to Bogue Chitto SP, Lake Fausse Point SP, Sam Houston Jones SP, Indian Creek Recreation Area, somewhere near Toledo Bend
Lake, Lake Bistineau SP, Poverty Point Reservoir SP, probably a couple of nights in Arkansas and finally Hawn SP in MO before arriving home in St. Louis.
