Yeah, "retired" or "checked out" sort of works -- but the whole point of this nameless idea is not complete and permanent idleness. Instead, it is more like "being pleasantly aware of a temporary pause, allowing yourself to do nothing for a while, just enjoying being where you are." "Fishing" works, as long as you are not catching!

Maybe if we were to come up with examples, we could pin this down. It is amazing how there are concepts in other languages that we don't have labels for -- schadenfreude in German, zaftig in Yiddish, sang froid in French, umami in Japanese, etc.
