I always have a handgun in the cab of my pickup and usually more in the trailer. In Montana, I am more apt to use a gun to put a deer out of it's misery after a motor vehicle accident. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my weapons to other states (and have), but they stay hidden, but accessible if needed. The only place I will travel and leave them at home is crossing the border into Canada or Mexico.
I have a CWP and exercise my right to carry. I carry nearly everywhere I go for the protection of my family and everyone around me - including at my church. But I take it seriously and don't underestimate the responsibility.
