The one concern I have while looking for a boondocking spot is accidentally stumbling into someone's marijuana crop and/or backwoods meth lab (or some other illicit operation). It pays to be observant while driving around; learn the signs of these activities and beat feet in the opposite direction if you see them.
Meth has become the scourge of small-town/isolated areas in Tennessee and many parts of the country. Manufacturers are universally users and they are NOT people you want to mess with, regardless of your self-defense abilities.
