- 2oldmanExplorer III doubt it, but you could google "Walmarts do not allow overnight parking".
By far your best bet is to call the stores. Things change all the time. Sometimes even if they say NON, sometimes you can get away with it one night.
I wouldn't count on it for visiting Disneyland. - kgragertExplorer

or, within 25 or so miles. Is this possible at the Walmarts in that area?
I know California can be a bit strict with this...
The Android version of the RV Parky app, shows none of the WalMarts in the area allow overnight parking.
You may be right about California, even zooming out doesn't show any Walmarts with overnight parking. :( - qtla9111NomadThese are from the Walmart list May of 2014. I don't have an updated list on hand, but you could always call the stores. (NOP) No Overnight Parking.

- TexasShadowExplorer IIwe stayed overnight at a Walmart in Westminster a few years ago. no problems then.
- DesertHawkExplorer:h A kind of in Irvine, not sure of distance.
Not sure of distance, but seem to be ok in Foothill Ranch Walmart.
Another maybe at Corona Walmart, not sure of distance.
:) Yep, the area is not Wally-docking friendly. Check for yourself: Wally Locations & Yellow Ws Overnighting OK, Red, Not.
Westminster WM: May 2010: Parking not allowed because WM does not own lot. - Golden_HVACExplorerIf you are going all the way to Disneyland, why not pay a few dollars a night and stay about 1 mile from the park. They might even have a shuttle bus to Disneyland.
Summer and it might be in the 90's in So Cal. I would want the A/C unit to run. Otherwise I might stay at a friend's house near Disneyland. Or the local Home Depot, or other places like that. Some neighborhoods can be dangerous in that area. Avoid most of Santa Ana. Orange - only a few miles away, is a much nicer neighborhood, and most of it is safe to walk around at night. I am not saying that all of Santa Ana is where I would not feel safe at night, but I can not say street by street, safe here, not safe around that area.
There is a Home Depot on Garden Grove Blvd just west of Euclid. Only about 1 mile north of the 22 freeway. I would recommend parking there if you just want to spend a few hours. It is really close to the Garden Grove Police Station.
There is also a Costco across the street, with a gas station there. If you get 'kicked out' remember that Home Depot opens at 6 am, just tell them you are looking for a special price on a Jacuzzi hot tub, and want to be there when it opens in a couple of hours. Or drive down Garden Grove Blvd to Beach BLVD (about 4 miles to the west) turn right, go to Chapman, (1.5 miles max) and there is another Home Depot there. In Stanton. Beach BLVD used to be where people walked the streets at night, but the cops set up construction cones all the way up the street, and if anyone stopped their car to talk to someone, they got a ticket for being in the construction zone. It did not take long for them to walk other places. (thus the second choice to park in that area only as a last resort). . . .
Personally I would just budget $50 a night and park at Camperland.
Good luck,
Fred. - MrWizardModeratorcompared to the current prices to visit disneyland
the price of camping is a bargain , and practically a necessity, you have hookups and get to be convenient to the park - SuzzeeeQ2012ExplorerI called one of the Walmarts, sounds promising for only one night though.
I COULD stay at an RV part for 4 nights, but with the 7 of us going, and paying admission to Disneyland....this could get very pricey.
Of course, we probably couldn't stay all day while we're at the park.
So...we're thinking of driving and getting a hotel.
thanks for all the replies. - SuzzeeeQ2012Explorer
