Boston campground suggestion

Looking to spend a few days sightseeing in Boston. Is there an RV park that has convenient access to the city? We don't have a tow car so would rely on taxi or public transportation.

  • We stayed at Minuteman and rode the trail in to the city. Worked well.

(Nice, clean laundry room at MM.)
  • We stayed at Beach Rose CG near Salisbury. Easy to jump on the train into Boston. Close to NH where we ate some awesome lobsters. Clean park, nice pool. A little tight but we fit OK.
  • Normandy Farms. Take the bus tour of Boston. Search this Forum for `Boston' in the RV Parks section.
  • We stayed at Boston Minuteman which is about 30 miles outside of Boston. Beautiful park with nicely treed sites. It is 12 miles from the Concord station commuter rail line into Boston. We ubered to the Concord station and then rode the rail into Boston. I think the rail runs every 1/2 hr or so. You can give the campground a call and they can advise you. Another option is to stay at Winter Island Marine Park in Salem. It is more like a parking lot, but it is right on water. It is also near the Rockport station on the commuter line which is about a 35 mile ride to Boston. There is also a ferry from Salem to Boston. Either option depending on your timing to the T train arrival, it takes about 35-45 minutes or so to Boston.
