- rv2goExplorer IIWe have stayed at the Boston Minuteman CG and found it suitable for visiting Boston.
- jplante4Explorer IIBoston Minuteman is nice. Very woodsy. Close to commuter rail into Boston.
Normandy Farms is also on a commuter rail line. More stuff for the kids to do. Big place, lots of sites.
If you can boondock for a few days, Wampatuck State Park is close to downtown and you can get to a commuter boat nearby. - CroweExplorerPlease keep in mind that around here number of miles and time to travel don't necessarily correlate. There's also Normandy Farms in Foxboro.

- JW_of_Opechee_SExplorerHaving lived and worked in the Boston area along with owning and operating a campground in Sturbridge Village area I would say that Normandy Farms or Middleboro KOA are your best bet. They will be the easiest to get to without a lot of traffic and both are close to commuter rail lines to Boston. Traffic in and around the Boston area is a disaster every hour of every day except for Sunday mornings. Make reservations as early as possible and have a great time, there is so much to see and do.
- Mich_FExplorerI'd also recommend Wompatuck state park in Hingham. I was there for 8 nights in early July. It's a very nice shaded campground, with plenty of space between sites. There is no water at the sites (or sewer connections), but there are water spigots throughout the park. I was running low on water and was able to run a hose from my MH to a nearby spigot, to add water to my tank. They only have 20 AMP service on their sites with electricity, but I was able to get by without any problems.
As mentioned earlier, the commuter boat out of Hingham to Boston (and Logan airport) is a nice relaxing, stress free way, to get into Boston - PCronin68ExplorerNormandy Farms...one of the best CG I have been to anywhere. Pricy buy you get what you pay for. 5Star
- bluie5ExplorerThanks for the responses.
- FlintstonesExplorerComing all the way from Wisconsin, I would think you would want a home run. Normandy Farms is a home run, but be aware, it's not cheap. And book asap for summer of 2018, don't wait, the place fills up quickly.
