We have searched around that entire area for a decent RV park. We have family that we like to visit in Broomfield. Our visit last year was to St. Vrains. I wouldn't necessary rate it high, but it was just ok. We didn't feel any type of warm welcome there, and felt that it was just an ok place to park the motorhome. Just my opinion that we will be looking for an alternative park when we travel there this year.
You must have been out in what we call 'The desert', where the FHUs are & no tree. A desolate place. The north loops, where the poor folks camp, have the trees & are far nicer. - JennyfsExplorerWe have searched around that entire area for a decent RV park. - LaurenExplorerThunder Mountain is right on. I also lived in Estes but not nearly as long as him. RV parks in Estes have also deteriorated terribly over the last few years. And make sure you check out the roads due to the massive flooding last year.

Go 35 minutes away and stay in Estes Park. Multitude of campgrounds and spectacular scenery !!! Spruce Lake RV is nice as is Manor RV.
Except that US 36 is not currently recommended for RV travel, due to the major reconstruction sites on the roadway from the flooding last September. Significant delays, rough dirt road, 1 lane travel through the construction sites with a pilot car -- when I took that route without my trailer a few weeks back, it took 2 hours to get from Estes to Lyons. - Thunder_MountaiExplorer II

No offense intended my fellow RVer, but I lived in EP for 34 years. There is no way you can get to Boulder from EP in 35 minutes. During the busy months, I would allow twice that time.
As others have stated not much around Boulder, because the cost of dirt is too high. Boyd Lake is nice and close enough. The traffic coming in on 93 from Dakota Ridge in Golden can be unpleasant. The Boulder County fairgrounds isn't much to look at but would work. - intheburbsExplorerOr stay in Loveland so you can have cinammon rolls every day at Johnson's Corner. That's where we stay.

- craig7hNomad III am a fan of St Vrain, have been staying there the past 5 years. Great park
- VeebyesExplorer IIAs a many time visitor to Boulder, St Vrain SP has been found to be the most convenient & pleasant. The Fairgrounds is closer, right in Longmont but is nothing but carpark camping.
- tsetsafExplorer IIIHere you go. The Lyons park was beautiful but I believe still closed due to the flooding last year. Campgrounds near Boulder
