We live in Downingtown, and the closest campground would be Brandywine Creek Campground-right next to Marsh Creek. It's only about 10 minutes away from town. Have driven through, and it's really a cute, clean little place. Stopped and talked to the owner and they seemed really nice. Nice sites-some pull-throughs right next to the creek. This would certainly be the closest for you.
