Branson in March
My wife and I are looking into a Branson trip in March. What can we expect the weather to be and will the various shows be up and running by then? Any ideas about where to stay and which shows to see ...

We were in Branson last April. Flew into Springfield and rented a car.
A monsoon there the entire time. Lots of heavy rain, lightening, and flooding throughout the entire region.
Branson impressions: We were excited to see some shows but we’re disappointed to learn that the “big names” don’t perform there anymore. You’re watching “tribute” shows now. Our most memorable experience was visiting the College of the Ozarks campus. “Hard Work U”. An excellent museum (Jed Clampett’s truck) and the student led living history-type displays and demonstrations in various campus locations were excellent and informative. Great kids!
We spent two extra days at a motel near the Springfield Airport. The runways were closed due to the horrible weather. Lots of folks love Branson and return often. It wasn’t for us. Even if we could substitute the terrible weather we experienced with clear skies and sunshine we wouldn’t go back. Once was enough for us.
