Branson Mo.

Other than the KOA what other campgrounds in Branson are people happy with in a 34 ft. motorhome. Nice accessible sites and fairly close to town. Thanks in advance.
  • First - Table Rock SP is beautiful - I did a scouting expedition to look over their campground. Also there are several COE CGs scattered around Table Rock Lake which look great. The COE has a really nice map on Table Rock Lake showing where all their CGs are located.

I stayed at Turkey Creek RV Village in Hollister. It's an Escapees park.

Non-member rates are $24 for 30 amp, $27 for pull thru w/50 amp and a weekly rate of $144 . Member rates are $17.50, $20.50, and $101. If you stay for a week, you will pay for your membership.
  • I'm an Escapee's member and I looked real hard at Turkey Creek but after checking into weekly and monthly rates, I saved money by going elsewhere for my month long stay with 50 amp FHU site at a private CG....I will be checking out those other spots while in town.
  • It's always possible to find somewhere cheaper I guess, but the member rate of $100/week and $325/month seem pretty good even if you need to add $2/day for 50 amp if needed. Especially right in a resort town.

There are not a lot of amenities - no pool for instance, but as a base for visiting the area it works well. I also liked that they don't pack you in like sardines.
  • I stand corrected....I'm paying 65.00 more for a month long stay. I thought I priced things out pretty well when making my plans which included looking at the RPI property "Treasure Lake" but guess my head must not be working quite right. I will swing by Turkey Creek and have a look see for a return visit. As I said earlier, we booked at Ozark Country, a place we have stayed before.
  • Yet another vote for Branson Lakeside RV Park. Flat, clean, great staff, easy to get everywhere, but yet out of the hustle and bustle. We stayed there in June and have reservations to go back in October.
  • Americas Best Campground is good and it's just a couple of miles from town. There are some other nice ones in the area but I've never stayed at them.

I'll put a good word in for Ozark Country Campground. Have stayed here before and like it well enough to go back!

    Exactly my response.

We have been to Branson twice and have stayed here both times. It is a Passport America park with no restrictions at least the times that we were there. We will stay there again if we go back.
