Buena Vista Co area
We are planning to be in the Buena Vista Co area in July. In a Class A motorhome. Which campground do you suggest?

X2- We always enjoyed the KOA out at Johnson Village because I could hike right out of the campground and "rock scramble" all the way up to Midland Hill, and even on into Buena Vista--trails down, no trails up from KOA.
In more recent years we have been staying at the Arrowhead Point RV park out north of town.
We prefer either of these parks to any of the "in town" parks, but that is a personal preference, of course. - several years ago, we stayed at Arrowhead Point Campground, about 5 miles north of Buena Vista. The young couple had just bought the place and were restoring it. It is well located and has a good view to the east.

X2 IMO it is really nice due to the owners and the quiet. And the view of the valley is great! We will be there in May.Mandalay Parr wrote:

X3 Stayed there for several years before we moved to BV. Have met the new owners, they are great. BV is a wonderful place to visit and a better place to live.
