Cade's Cove November 1

Since they stop taking reservations in October, Rv campsites are first come first serve. Anyone have any experience on the difficulty of getting a Rv site for that time of the year? I hate not being able to confirm I have a place to sleep for the night.

    Just checked CADES COVE Home page and it is open until 31 DEC 2017...
    Says ELKMONT is open until 26 NOV 2017...

    I guess first come first served means just that...

    There are several great camping places in Townsend TN just outside the West entrance to the Natl Park if they get full up...

    Are those sites open that late in the year... We go to ELKMONT usually in the late SEP Early OCT time frame... Seems like most of everything around there has a sign in their windows says see you in May or something like that...

    Have been in the towns during the winter months but always stay in hotels...
