OK...made reservations for Cades Cove for the first weekend in October. My family is renting a cabin to celebrate my fathers 75th birthday and we don't want to stay in the cabin. We will probably only be in the motorhome overnight besides the first evening. Plan on getting up and going to spend the day with the family at the cabin and then back to the motorhome to sleep.
We have one 12volt battery in the motorhome. Would it be necessary to get a second or even switch out to golf cart batteries? I know it would be ideal, but not sure if we can upgrade the battery situation by then. I have LED lights for the motorhome already. I do have a buddy heater we can use if necessary. Not sure if the furnace would kill the one battery overnight if we needed to run it. Heck we might not need any heater at all. We will definitely load up on extra blankets. We also are in a loop that allows the use of generators, but not sure how long we will be there between the hours of usage.
