I am looking for suggested RV parks or communities where it doesn't freeze in December. We are trying to stay as far north as possible so that we can visit the kids over next year's holidays without major expense. How far south do we need to go? We will be coming from the Seattle, WA area and are hoping for somewhere in northwestern California. We need to be able to leave the RV unattended for a few days, so a private RV park is necessary. You did not mention where in California the kids live, but if they live nearby the Sacramento or San Francisco Bay Area any campground in the California delta would be OK as to temperatures, near water, and within a hour or two of Sacramento and San Francisco.
