- wxtoadExplorerWe've stayed at Camden Hills lots of times over the years, tenting in the early years and then living it up, so to speak, in various RV's. It's a nice park. We prefer the sun out in the front field; most of the campground is quite wooded, although there are a few sites up the hill that get some sun.
Anyway, here are some pictures and comments from our visits. Please forgive the appearance of the web page - my site suffered a major meltdown recently and I'm working to repair it.
Have a great trip!
WxToad - CloudDriverExplorerAnother thumbs up for Camden Hills. We have used it as an overnight several times on the way to Bar Harbor and the Maritime Provinces. Have only camped in the field mentioned above. No need for leveling there.
X2 on the views from Mt. Battie are great. - NCWriterExplorerWe liked it a lot, and it's very close to town. Bring levelers because some sites very un-level. Be sure to drive (or hike) up to the top of Mount Battie for a beautiful view of the town and water.
- VTLeeExplorerWe love Camden Hills and usually try to get there at least once each year. Most sites are wooded but there are about 8 sites (site #55 and up) in the field as you enter the park that are nice if you like to set outside in the sun. There is plenty to do in the area. Have a great trip.
