Camp grounk Mt. Airy North Carolina

Either Mayberry Campground or the Fancy Gap KOA are good choices IMO. For me which one would depend on time of year. If mid-June to mid-September I'd chose Fancy Gap, 'cause it's gonna be cooler and less humid up on the mountain than down in Mt. Airy.

You can go out then to other area things. I have never been to the KOA in Fancy Gap, but have heard good things about it.

We may give Mayberry a try next weekend. We are picking up our new class c this weekend and our favorite place (stone mountain state park) is already all booked up. Wanna find a place to break it in good and test it all out.

Mayberry Campground is a great place. Friendly managers!

Fancy Gap KOA bar none. It's only 15 minutes or so away.

We stayed at Mayberry Campground when we visited the area last year.

Just be cognizant of the PPA restrictions at Mayberry. It is an good base for Mt. Airy exploration.
