We stayed at Camp Gulf in September. Fabulous place, make reservations now. Don't waste your time trying to get into Top Sail. :B
I wish everyone would stop directing others to Top Sail, I can't get the reservations I want. ;)
Actually, Camp Gulf was nice, we got there when the place was only about half occupied. We left when the place was fully sold out. Getting a 43 foot Toyhauler out from the sites near the beach, with cars and trucks parked in the road was really tight.
Walking only a few yards to the beach was really nice. That's what you pay for, the convenience to the beach. The location of Camp Gulf is great; close to restaurants, shopping and other attractions.
