campground around KC Missoouri

Heading from Joplin to Omaha first week of June.
Figured a two night stop somewhere mid way.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  • We stayed here the last time we were in KC http://lakeparadiseresort.com/. It is east of Kansas City 7 miles south of I70
  • Jackson County Parks has 3 Camping/RV facilities as you will find out. Longview and Lake Jacomo are close to lake access. Blue Springs is a little further from direct lake access but still a nice facility. All three have full hookups and are close to I-470. Blue Springs is a little further off the highway but still a good spot.

I've stayed at Blue Springs and Lake Jacomo. NO complaints.
  • As part if the Jackson County parks listed above, check out Blue Springs CG. We stayed there last year, and it was very nice.
  • We stayed at Worlds of Fun. As long as it's during the week, wouldn't be a problem, but it's packed on the weekends and holidays. It's also pricey.
