Campground close to Annapolis, Md
I am going to spend several days in Chincoteague, Va. On the way I want to visit Annapolis, Md and the Naval Academy. I had a relative attend the academy. Are there any campgrounds close?

Is that the one way up north off 83? near PA. stopped by and cased the joint years back and was not impressed. had a set of "terraced" spots which was just an open field with various levels of sites. the decent wooded sites appeared to me to be filled with seasonals.
KOA was much better and closer in.

You may be thinking of Morris Meadows, now called Merry Meadows. We stayed there one time years ago. Nothing special.
Duncan's is about 20 miles from downtown Annapolis. The KOA is about 10 miles.
