For the COE, we like Petersburg, Ridge Road and Winfield. Winfiled is next door to Mistletoe SP. Mistletoe and Winfield are a little further out than Petersburg and Ridge Road. Columbia County also has a park called Wildwood. It had been a number of years since we had been there, but drove through it last summer. It would suffice. It's on the lake also. Out on Washington Road after you pass Pollards Corner and before you get to the Keg Creek bridge. Ridge Road is pass the Keg Creek Bridge. Petersburg is between Pollards Corner and the dam on Hwy 221. Depending on which way you come from Evans (Washington Road or Furys Ferry Rd - Hwy 28) will depend on which way you go. If you go out Furys ferry Rd, there are a few places out that way (on SC side of lake). You have Modoc (COE) and Hamilton Branch State Park (SC).
There are better options than that Heritage place. You will just have to be willing to drive 20-30 minutes.
X2 Petersburg, our favorite in the aera!
