Campground near Bangor Me

We will be traveling through Maine during the first two weeks of November. We will use Highway 2 to Bangor and then Highway I-95 to Houlton

Is there any place to camp in the Bangor area during this time period?
  • There's a Walmart on Rt. 2 just before I95 in the Newport area that you can overnight at. Possibly Dysart's truck stop near the Bangor airport as well.

All the campgrounds I know of (Canaan KOA, Two Rivers, Jellystone/Yonder Hill, Palmyra Golf, Moosehead Trail, and Pumpkin Patch) are all closed for the season.

"We own a campground in Maine that is open all four seasons. Between Nov 1 and April 15th there is limited services (no water) and we prefer anybody staying overnight during that time frame calls to make a reservation or even just a heads up so we are sure to be on site to receive them. During winter months there is no water in the campground but we can fill holding tanks from our office (all sites are full hookup everything else is works and is turned on).

We like staying at the Pumpkin Patch RV Resort but I would suggest you check on any of them as most start closing down mid October.

As I mentioned above, Pumpkin Patch is already closed for the season. I checked all those in my post before I made it.
