- CroweExplorerPine Hill in Kutztown, PA. Right up the road. Not fancy but inexpensive and well-run.
- mikhenExplorerAppalachian and mountain Springs are the 2 closest. You don't even have to get on 78 to get to them. Just head west on Mountain Rd right out of Cabelas parking lot. they are about 6-7 miles on that road. well, you will have to make a right to get to Appalachian, but basically its on that road.

We stayed at twin grove campground in PA. It's 33 miles to Cabela's from the campground. Stay way out back. The sights on the right as you come in have zero tree shade.. Just cut and past the website.

Always wanted to try that place when the kids were younger. I think they have a little amusement park with a carousel. - 2008WildcatExplorerAppalachian CG and Mtn Springs are one exit west of Cabela's, in Shartlesville. Blue Rocks is one exit east. Pine Hill is 2 exits east.
Lots in and around the area.... - jfkmkExplorerRobin Hill campground is pretty close to Cabellas. I've never been there, but it is right off of Rt. 78.
- Tarheel_2ExplorerI stayed at that Cabella's one night. No problem and there were 3 or 4 other rigs there that night. That was two years ago however.
- RGar974417ExplorerIt depends what you are looking for.If you want a state park,Locust Lake SP is about 30 minutes north of Hamburg.Shaded sites near a lake with a paved trail around it for riding bikes or walking the dog.It has electric hookups, showers, beach, water hydrants through out each loop and a dump station. To the west at Shartlesville is Mt Springs.Full hookups, pool rodeos and demo derbies on the weekends. To the east is Pine Hill.Full hookups.

http://twingrove.com/ - trailertravelerExplorerWe have friends near the Hamburg Cabella's. Overnights are an on and off proposition as a result of the local government. Now that there is a Walmart almost across the road from Cabella's, I'm not sue what the status is. The Cabella's did have a dump station when it was first built. There are three Passport America Parks not far from I-78. Two West of Cabella's and one East. Have not stayed at them, but they are listed in RV Park Reviews.
