- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIYou'll really enjoy Babler State Park - lots of manicured lawns, trees, spacious sites, hiking trails, pool, great bike riding in this huge park.

X2 on Casino Queen, stayed there last summer. About $25, Good Sam discount if I recall correctly, free shuttle to rail across the river. One stop, walk to the Arch. Well worth visiting - go up to top, see the museums below.
Casino Queen, where we've stayed many times, including for the 4th of July airshow and fireworks, now advertises "pull-thru sites starting at $53." Ouch!
Wow, ouch for sure! What a difference a year makes. And they were far from full at the lower rate we paid. - hotpepperkidExplorer

Yea that's over my budget. But going to the top of the arch is well worth it and the museums, been there twice - PotKornExplorer

Ouch! - hotpepperkidExplorerWe have stayed at the one near down town. one in Fenton called Covered Bridge and one in Cahokia IL. Casino Queen closes too early for us. The one in Fenton is in a more upscale area than the rest but felt safe in all of them
- drifterpilotExplorerThanks to all that responded to my post on short notice.
We are staying at Babler Memorial State Park. Very nice setting and at $21.00 per night, you just can't beat the price.
Thanks - agb2529Explorer+1 on the St. Louis RV Park. Right downtown, super convenient to everything in the city, reasonable, clean, and safe (police station across the street). We've stayed there a couple of times and will definitely go back.

- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIThere the St. Louis RV Park right downtown. It's just a paved parking lot and it's fenced in. Depends what you want to do in the St. Louis area.
St. Louis RV Park
Edmund Babler State Park, Wildwood, MO
Casino Queen RV, East St. Louis, ILL
St. Louis Route 66 KOA &
Yogi Bear RV, by Six Flags, Eureka, MO - kknowltonExplorer IIWe stayed at the Red Barn Rendezvous RV Park in Edwardsville, IL, about 20-30 minutes from downtown STL. Convenient to the interstate but with a country feel. At the time we stayed they had electric & water hookups but no FHUs; that may have changed. Nice little friendly place.
