We are originally from Southern Illinois and when making our yearly trips back to the homeland we would pass the Land Between The Lakes area in the NW Corner of Kentucky.
Always wanted to stay there but since it was so close to our destination never did...
Looks like a neat NATURE TYPE camping experience... Probably not near your planned route to OHIO however...
All of our roads go through Gatlingburg and the Smoky Mtns. We stay at ELKMONT most of the time and when we want to be around the shopping crowd we will stay at Riveredge RV Park in Pigeon Forge.
