Just outside Custer the town and Custer SP - Beautiful drive to the Monuments and Caves - Quiet and as we were not with Kids "Perfect"
JMHO,
Old Post Link - docsouceExplorer IIWe just stayed at the Horse Thief RV camp and it was pretty good. Owners were great.
- kokotgExplorerWe stayed at Game Lodge in Custer State Park and loved it. We hear really good things about Rafter J, too, but Game Lodge was WAY cheaper. If you can get by with just electric hookups, we definitely recommend it.

X 2 - NCWriterExplorerX2 for Game Lodge. Custer State Park has facilities comparable to a national park.
Quite amazing to look out the RV window and see so close up the herd of bison which wandered through the campground several times just on the other side of a fence. - accsysExplorerWe always stay at the Game lodge Campground inside Custer State Park. It's right at the entrance to the wildlife loop and just a couple of miles from the start of the Iron Mountain Highway where you can see Mt Rushmore through the tunnels as you drive it. No parking fees and and no crowds!
