Campground suggestions for St Louis. Close to Arch

We're taking the kids, 14, 12, & 8, for a spring break trip this April. We're heading from Michigan to the Rocket center in Huntsville, AL. Then to Buccaneer SP in MS. Then to Bayou Segnette in NOLA for a few days. We'd like to stop in St Louis for a day on the way home to go in the arch and explore City Museum.
Any suggestions for a nice place that's close to the attractions? We probably will only stay at the campground to sleep. We need electricity at a minimum.
Thanks in advance.
  • For just a short stay, use the Casino RV park. I don't believe they'll let the kids inside but staying in the RV park is o.k. I think there's a shuttle to the Arch.
  • Besides the Casino Queen, there's also the St. Louis RV Park, a few blocks from the City Museum (and a few more from the arch). "Park," in this case, is used in the sense of "parking lot," albeit with hookups.

IMHO if you have to end up choosing between the arch and the City Museum, choose the City Museum. Your kids (and you, if you let yourself) will have an absolute blast.
  • We always stay at the Casino Queen located across the river from the Arch.
You might want to plan ahead for the tram tickets that takes you to the top of the Arch. Also, the tram is down until March, 2017
