campgrounds around Missuola Montana

I would appreciate any recomendations for campgrounds with full hookups around the Missoula or Seely Lake area Montana
  • Jim and Mary's on US 93 just a little north of town is very nice. Full hookups, super-clean showers/laundry, beautifully maintained. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. The sites are gravel and some are not perfectly level, we did use one block under the tires on one side.

I had to email back and forth a few times to make changes in our plans. Got a prompt reply each time. I also shipped a box of hiking clothes since Delta was going to charge me an arm & leg to check 2 bags. Had it delivered to the office and picked it up. (My boyfriend was there with the RV and I flew in/out of Missoula.)

There is a little traffic noise but not really enough to be annoying. Otherwise the campground was very quiet.

We stayed there a total of 4 days just a couple of weeks ago. For weekend reservations, call a week ahead. They were filling up on weekends in early August.
  • We have stayed at Jellystone park. Full hook-ups good location. Not scenic but has a pool and they do tractor rides for the kids on weekend evenings. Pricey. Right by Jim and Mary's RV Park.
  • Please be aware there is a large forest fire between Lolo Pass and Missoula. US12 - is currently closed. News reports indicate there is quite a bit of smoke in the Missoula valley. Drove the Seely Swan valley last Thursday and it was beautiful as usual. A good many nice forest service campgrounds on the lakes along US 82 - I am not familiar with RV Parks with hookups. I'd check on fire developments since there are quite a few in the northern Rockies. Right now Glacier would be a good bet - lots of RV Parks fairly close to the west glacier entrance.
  • Have stayed at Beavertail Hill St Park a couple times. Very nice park. Does not have full hook-ups but very easy access to the freeway and nice big sites, a lot of pull-ins.

  • Seeley Lake Motor Lodge They have RV park behind motel.
Pull throughs with 50 & 30amp sites. Nice quiet place and great little town.

    is your best research tool.

Jim and Mary's campground get's lot's of positive reviews. There is a KOA in Missoula that is older but lot's of shade.

Not much with hook ups around Seeley Lake.
