  • X3 on North Beach but not if you have a fifth wheel or tow and camper in the 50' range. A little narrow in spots.
  • Anastasia State Park. Right on the beach

I love this campground, but..... right on the beach may be a little misleading.
  • Beverly Beach is very nice. But it is Flagler Beach about 20 or so miles south of ST Augustine. The OP was looking for something in ST Augustine. But this is a great option if the distance isn't a problem.
  • I dont know what your budget is, but for St. Augastine I have been a big fan of Beverly Beach Camptown. It is right on the beach with ocean view right on the sea wall or ocean access which is the sites I use. I love falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean and have stayed there many times. All sites are full hookup and 50 amp, if you are 30amp you will need an adapator.

But I been told its expensive, but I think the price is reasonable for what I get and its a vacation destination for me as I do not full time.
  • A side note... be sure to stop at O'Steens in the 200 Blk of Anastasia Blvd. for fried shrimp. Great food... reasonable price. It's been a landmark for locals over the past 60 years. Often, there's quite a wait to get seating inside. A "to-go" order takes about 10 minutes and Anastasia SP is close by.
  • We were there in june, stayed at the St. Augustine beach KOA. We were there during the week so it was really quite. They have full hookups which I wanted. There are a LOT of campgrounds in the area. The one thing we liked was the trolly shuttle service has a hourly pick up and drop off at the campground. Just hop the bus, they drop you off a the trolly stop and you can go anywhere in the downtown. When you are done, hop the bus back to campground. They were so punctual you could set your watch by them. BTW, parking, if you can find it downtown, is rather pricy. We saved money using the trolly service.
Edit: The KOA is only a short distance from Anastasia and about 3-4 miles from downtown.
  • When in St. Augustine we stayed at Indian Forest campground, 1505 Florida 207, St. Augustine. Some friends who live in St. Augustine suggested this. We were happy with the site. It also was close to friends who doubled as tour guides. :)
  • Anastasia State Park. Right on the beach. Great locations, about 3 miles from the downtown. Over 100 water and electric sites. 3 great dump stations. Great bike riding.
