Campgrounds in Yellowstone...to reserve ahead or not?

Today we made reservations for 5 nights at Fishing Bridge Campground in Yellowstone. It will cost $54.45 per night, and they do not accept the Golden Age Pass discount there. The gal I talked to hig...

My info is a few year's old but we were in Yellowstone in July also and we were surprised by the the ease of getting into CG's without reservations. Now, that's not to say it wasn't busy and getting to your chosen CG early is a must. As I recall, Mammoth was busy but not as bad as other CG more centrally located. Have a Great time!!!!
